Locked in by Flooded Lake Ballard
As can be seen from my latest video https://youtu.be/BdfPcEnOtfM the filming was a bit brief, here’s why.
The necessary speed of reaction for self preservation took over. The flood water was rising, even at 6am and my original escape route was floating in water. And, to top it off, as soon as I got out of the immediate area, I was confronted with a fast flowing creek crossing. It too, was growing in size and ferocity as I waited to cross. As soon as a fellow camper arrived, I proceeded to gingerly cross, at least someone was there, just in case.
I reached Menzies, a town about 30 minutes away looked for police, too small a town. I did find the local council were up and about so notified them who arranged to send out a team to help the other stranded 9 vehicles.
